The concept
The concept brought together two seemingly opposite ideas: the structural discipline of Neo-Classical design and the open, natural feel of Tropical Modernism, in the spirit of Geoffrey Bawa. The result leans into a refined tropical-manor aesthetic, where formal symmetry meets warmer, more organic materials.
The pieces
A King Living sofa anchors the room in soft, tailored neutrals, paired with a rattan and dark-wood armchair from Cult Furniture for texture and warmth. A veined black marble dining table from Soho House becomes the sculptural centrepiece, grounding the softer pieces around it, with walnut-toned sideboard and lighting from Perch & Parrow adding material depth.
The light
Layered lighting does a lot of the work here. Branch-style chandeliers and warm accent lamps soften the more architectural elements, so the room stays inviting and open. Planting throughout reinforces the tropical thread with a light touch, considered rather than overgrown.
